About Me | Background

I am originally from Minnesota and the proud child of Vietnamese immigrants.

I completed my B.S. in Ecology and Evolution at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. For my Ph.D., I was co-advised by Dr. Jason Rohr and Dr. Jody Harwood at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

As a postdoctoral scholar, I worked with Dr. Dave Civitello at Emory University to investigate the epidemiological impact of hybrid schistosomes in Tanzania. I also worked with Dr. Karen Levy at the University of Washington to assess the temporal dynamics of environmental water indicators in the Chattahoochee River.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, weightlifting, and running. I also love traveling and taking photos along the way!
